My lovly Kittn
I lov animals, such as cats, dogs, birds, vn tigrs and lions…. My ambition is to b a zoologist①.
On day about thr months ago, whn I got hom, Mum told m that sh had bought m a littl kittn②. I was so surprisd that I couldn't hlp crying, “A kittn! Why, Mum, you don't lik cats!”
Mum didn't lik cats or dogs at all. Sh was vn afraid of cats. Svral yars ago w had a cat, and Mum was always complaining about it. If th cat jumpd onto hr sat, sh would stand up at onc and scram. But that day Mum bought a cat for m! How happy I was!
Th kittn is vry prtty. Hr small round had and small lgs mak hr look lik a wooln ball.
At first, sh smd vry shy and a littl afraid. I touchd hr gntly. “Don't b afraid. W all lov you. Lt us b good frinds. From now on, this is your hom. Wll, I'll giv you a nam. Lt's s….”
“Wll,” Mum said with a smil, “I'v bn calling hr ‘Mi-Mi’.”
“OK, so sh has a nam. But what dos sh at?”
“I'v bn told that sh liks livr③ with ric. I'v prpard som,” Mum answrd.
With ths words, Mum took out a small pic of livr, put it into a small dish, and addd som ric to it. Thn I put it in front of Mi-Mi. For a momnt sh smd unasy and nrvous. But thn sh at hr mal with grat satisfaction.
Sh's a lovly cratur. Whn w sit at th tabl to hav dinnr, sh'll play around us. Sh liks to li nar our ft, with hr fac up, strtching hr lgs, and acting just lik a naughty child. Aftr dinnr, I cook hr mal. And whil I'm cooking, sh is always circling around my ft, rubbing my lgs, and mwing④, sming vry anxious but happy.
vry morning aftr I gt up, I opn th door of th sitting room to lt hr out. And thn sh'll happily mw at m, as if saying “Good morning”. vry vning whn I com back hom, sh'll run to m at onc, rubbing against my lgs to show that sh's glad to s m. This is hr way of grting m.
Mi-Mi sms lik a mmbr of our family and a spcial frind. Oh, what a lovly kittn!
