Christmas DayChristmas Day falls on th twnty-fifth of Dcmbr. It is a vry happy day for many boys and girls . Bfor th trm nds in som schools , th childrn act a nativity① or “birth” play, showing how Jsus② was born in a stabl③.

Christmas Day

On th twnty-fourth of Dcmbr, all childrn ar vry xcitd. Usually thy ar snt to bd arly so that thir parnts can gt th prsnts rady. Th youngr childrn think that Fathr Christmas will com down th chimny or firplac , so thy hang up a sock for him to put prsnts in. Th grdy ons vn hang up a pillow-cas④ or a sack⑤ to try to gt mor prsnts. Latr that night, Fathr or Mothr will put prsnts in th sock, and lav othrs at th sid of th bd.

On Christmas morning, th childrn wak up vry arly. Som vn turn on th light at two o'clock, and most of thm ar awak by six o'clock although it is not light in ngland for anothr hour or two at this tim of th yar.Childrn look for thir prsnts , and th young ons play whil th dinnr is prpard. At about on o'clock in th aftrnoon, th Christmas dinnr is brought in . Th turky or chickn is quickly atn . Childrn sarch in thir Christmas pudding for nw coins which ar hiddn in it . Th rst of th day is full of gams and ating until th happist of all Christmas hollidays coms to an nd.
